From New York to Paris, the name on everyone’s lips this fashion season is Cara Delevingne. The 20-year old Brit has been one of the top-five catwalkers of each of the fashion capitols, has appeared in countless fashion campaigns and to top it all off, has joined the ranks of Tyra Banks and Cindy Crawford as one of the most followed models in social media today. So what better way to solidify one’s “it-girl” status than with an exclusive fragrance deal!
The bubbly model has just been named the new face of Burberry’s Body Tender perfume, earning her her first major fragrance campaign of her so far explosive career. Shot by Mario Testino in front of London’s iconic River Thames, Cara plays the part of a feminine English Rose, a role that pairs well with the perfume’s fresh lemon and white jasmine notes. Although part of the Burberry Body Collection, chief creative officer Christopher Bailey described the tender new scent as “a light spirited expression of the iconic Burberry Body fragrance,” and one that combines “the relaxed, playful attitude of the Burberry girl with the energy of the brand’s London hometown.”
Following in the footsteps of fellow British super Rosie Huntington-Whiteley— the original star of the Burberry Body campaign— Cara makes her fragrance debut in one of the brand’s iconic trench coats, albeit showing a little less skin that her predecessor. Not that we’re complaining of course! Since her start with Burberry in 2011, the campaign star has produced one stunning hit after another, and by looks of her latest work, we think it’s safe to say that this won’t be her last either.
