Heidi Klum will unveil the new pieces in her Wildlife jewelry collection at midnight tonight on QVC—and this set of statement necklaces, earrings and watches are bolder and more colorful than ever!

Earlier this month Heidi arrived at the Hudson Hotel straight from the airport, dressed in a simple Michael Kors dress—the perfect plain slate for her to show off how accessories can change the entire look of an outfit. “I hate wearing safe things—I’m not a girl that likes to only wear black and gray.”

Vibrant color was definitely the inspiration for the season. Neon stones make their way onto a black cuff, timepieces find a way to be both classy and sporty with a wide array of plastic colored bands, and most of the metal pieces are available in gold, silver, rosegold and gunmetal.

During this collection’s design process, it seems like Heidi’s years of judging designers on Project Runway has not only inspired the way that she designs, but also makes her respect their risks in new ways.

“I always have a hard time when I’m judging people on the stage,” she says. “Sometimes people do some crazy stuff. It might not be as sellable, but they are doing some fun, crazy things! And I applaud them for it!”

Wild and crazy, she can respect—but when it comes to making wearable jewelry, she thinks of her customers first.

“I start think about all the different ladies, and what they want. I sit there and think about the colors of the stones. I think, is it going to be a sparkly stone in the middle, or a matte stone in the middle. I think about these things forever.”

So does Heidi have a favorite new piece in this collection? “There are certainly things that I wear more than others, they just have an ease to them, you can wear them just with a t-shirt.” she says as she gravitates toward a long necklace. “Others read more ladylike. You have to work harder to make it look effortless.”

TUNE IN to QVC tonight to watch Heidi unveil her new Wildlife spring collection. She will take to the airwaves at Midnight, but you can catch her throughout the morning at 3 a.m., 7:55 a.m., 11 a.m. and finally from 2 to 4 p.m.

The drop waist dress is the silhouette we want to wear now. Ralph Lauren, Gucci and Alberta Ferretti looked to the twenties for their Spring 2012 collections and sent jewel encrusted looks of longer lengths down the runway. They must have been as excited as we are about the remake of The Great Gatsby (Gemma Ward has a starring role!), as every single look seemed totally fit for Daisy Buchanan and all her escapades.

While the film doesn’t come out until Christmas of this year, supermodels Anja Rubik and Heidi Klum have already been spotted wearing these twenties inspired numbers. With a slightly looser fit and lots of shine, these dresses are made for those hot summer cocktail soirees where anything tighter would feel suffocating. We only wish that we could be look as the fabulous in the gowns we have seen Gemma Ward wearing on set. When The Great Gatsby finally hits theaters you can bet we will be celebrating in these sparkly dresses and accessories. —Hester Hodde

The 65th Cannes Film Festival begins today with a number of highly anticipated films including Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom and On the Road. Last night we caught with eight-time Sports Illustrated model Anne V at the party that launched the Costello Tagliapietra C&T collection for Barneys New York. “I’ve never hosted an event before! ” said Anne dressed in a black sleek C&T dress.

Guests like Hilary Rhoda, Rachel Roy, Larissa Bond, Kathryn Neale Shaffer, Derek Blasberg, Anne Caruso, Lucy Sykes and Euan Rellie perused the collection that consisted of soulful, artisan and feminine dresses, while enjoying tunes from Greg Krelenstein Of The Misshapes.

“They work so hard and put so much into this and are so talented.” Anne said. “It’s great that Barneys recognized their talent.”

Anett Griffel, Sara Ziff, and Madison Hope — Jessica Perez at the Robin Hood Benefit

Dree Hemingway, Jessica Pérez, Hilary Rhoda, Elettra Wiedemann, Sara Ziff, and Madison Hope Headrick were among the many models at the Robin Hood benefit at the Jacob Javitz Center in Manhattan last night.

The foundation fights to end poverty in New York and raised $57.4 million from the 3,800 guests in the audience that included Stanley Tucci, Eli Manning, Starbucks Chairman Howard Schultz, and Harvey Weinstein.

Green is the official color of the Robin Hood Foundation, and the Empire State Building was lit green in honor of the event. Dressing for the occasion was model Eniko Mihalik, who looked glam in a high-slit emerald green Robert Rodriguez gown, and Jessica Pérez who wore a gorgeous David Meister dress with a detailed low cut back.

The night was kept moving by MC Brian Williams who was joined on stage by Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers, who offered their comedic routines during the dinner. Neil Young performed “Heart of Gold” while guests were being seated, and the final entertainment act, Rihanna, lit up the stage in an Egyptian-themed performance.

In a recent interview with Vogue Netherlands, Lara Stone opened up about her personal life including how her husband David Walliams pursued her and the question on everyone’s mind these days, does the couple have plans for a baby in the near future. “He stalked me,” Lara told Vogue. As to whether it was love at first sight, Lara joked “to him it was!”

While they’ve been married for two years now, it seems that a baby is not high on their list of priorities. “A baby will probably never be as funny as Bert,” Lara said of the couple’s Border Terrier puppy who they adopted on Valentine’s Day this year.

This coming Sunday, May 20th, Karlie Kloss and longtime friend Jason Wu, will be stepping off the red carpet and onto the sidewalk to raise money and awareness for AIDS organizations as a part of the annual 2012 AIDS Walk New York! The fashion-forward duo will be co-captaining their team, STEP FORWARD, which is made up of a number of their family and closest friends.  “I’m so excited to be participating, and to be teaming up with Jason and all of our friends for such an incredible cause,” Karlie said.

It was only yesterday that a very jetlagged Karlie tweeted that she’s currently on location shooting in London, so we hope she’s able to get some rest before Sunday!

We get that not all fashion editorials need to look “beautiful” or even make sense for that matter, but there are a few editorials out there that are so bizarre we can’t help but wonder what it was like to be the model on set. We’ve seen Crystal Renn get tied up like an insane asylum patient by Karolina Kurkova, Sasha Pivovarova’s had eyes drawn onto her eyelids, and in the above right photograph we see Julia Nobis posing with a fish hanging out of her mouth. Blech! None of that looks easy, so we have to hand it to these girls for nailing such difficult shots!
